PETER

Old Peter was a coward and a skulker
Was not a great man of God
Though he saw Jesus walking on the water
He couldn’t trust enough to carry himself

Three times he denied Lord Jesus
Three times he cried “I love”
So often I mean good like Peter but I won’t
Wait for God’s timing

Peter...


New Peter was a fearless hero
When the Holy Spirit came down he changed
He won himself and preached to all the people
“The mercy’s same for each and every being”

I too am like the old Peter
Before I get the Spirit of God
But when I give and everything
in me to the Master
I will be another Peter..
